In 2001, Dr. Fredric Stern became one of the few cosmetic surgeons in the Puget Sound and Seattle area to offer microcannular tumescent liposuction, using the smallest instruments available, performed under local anesthesia.

With the advent of power-assisted liposuction devices, Dr. Stern then combined the use of microcannulas with the enhanced fat removal capability of the Stars™ power- assisted system.

With the FDA approval of the Erchonia™ low- level laser in 2003, Dr. Stern was the first cosmetic surgeon in the Puget Sound area to perform laser -assisted liposuction using this new, FDA-approved device.

In FDA trials, the Erchonia™ laser demonstrated greater fat removal, less post-op discomfort, less swelling and quicker recovery than traditional liposuction techniques.

Combining these three advanced devices, Dr. Stern is the first cosmetic surgeon in the region offering both internal and external laser-assisted liposuction surgery.

This revolutionary advance in liposuction surgery offers all of the advantages of microcannular tumescent liposuction— small incisions, no sutures, minimal down time— with the enhanced fat removal capabilities of the new Zerona™ low level laser and the state-of-the-art fat melting and internal skin tightening effects of the dual wavelength ProLipoPLUS™ laser!

And just like simple microcannular tumescent liposuction, Dr. Stern’s dual laser technique uses the same small cannulas and may be done under completely local anesthesia. Most people are able to return to work and normal activities in days!

No incision, No downtime

Depending upon your individual case, the state-of-the-art Zerona™ low-level laser may either be used alone to perform incision-free, no down time liposculpture, or as a way to greatly enhanced fat removal during liposuction surgery, as discussed above.

For those with a moderate amount of loose skin, we also offer post-operative treatments using our SkinTyte™ laser to maximally firm and tighten your skin.
