In 2001 The Stern Center became the first Office Based Surgical Practice in the Pacific Northwest to receive accreditation from The Joint Commission, a not-for-profit organization focused on ensuring that all people always experience the safest, highest quality, best-value health care across all settings.
Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects a medical organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards. Only 500 medical practices in the nation are accredited and certified by The Joint Commission.
