Botox® Cosmetic National Education Faculty
Fredric A. Stern, MD, FACS, Medical Director of the Stern Center for Aesthetic Surgery, PC, in Bellevue, Washington,has been chosen as one of a select group of National Educational Faculty members for Botox® Cosmetic. The National Educational Faculty is responsible for training other physicians in the techniques of cosmetic Botox® injections.
BELLEVUE, WA, May 2, 2005 – Fredric A. Stern, MD, FACS, Medical Director of the Stern Center for Aesthetic Surgery, PC, in Bellevue, Washington, has been chosen as one of a select group of National Educational Faculty members for Botox® Cosmetic.
The National Educational Faculty is responsible for training other physicians in the techniques of cosmetic Botox® injections.
Dr. Stern has over a decade’s experience in Botox® injections, and is one of the leading Botox® injectors in the Seattle area.
Botox® is frequently called the “miracle drug” of the millennium.
Though most people just think of Botox® as a great way to eliminate facial wrinkles—currently its most popular use—Botox® was originally approved by the FDA in 1989 for the treatment of eyelid and facial spasms and lazy eye problems.
In addition to the treatment of frown lines, Botox® may be used to create a “brow lift” effect, soften crows feet and reduce lines around the lips and chin, as well as neck wrinkles.
Most recently, Botox® was approved for use in a condition knows as hyperhydrosis—excess sweating—an uncomfortable and often embarrassing condition. By injecting Botox in the underarm areas, palms or soles of the feet, sweating may be dramatically reduced for up to a year.
