Fine lines. Wrinkles. Forehead folds. Crow’s feet.
If these are concerns for you, now is a great time to connect with a team of providers who want to assist in reducing the appearance of these unwanted signs of aging. Whether you’re in your early 30’s or late 40’s, many of our patients find that cosmetic injectables can help reduce these imperfections and restore one’s youthful appearance. One popular choice is Botox, which has been on the market for years and continues to be one of the most requested cosmetic injectables at The Stern Center for Aesthetic Surgery.
What is Botox?
Botox has been a household name for years, but it’s surprising how little people know about it. They may know that it is injected into the face to turn back the hands of time, but how does it do that? Who is a good candidate for it? What areas does it address?
Botox is actually a neuromodulator. This medication can inhibit muscle contractions. When injected into the muscles of the face, it can relax many lines and wrinkles that are caused by muscle movement. These lines and wrinkles are known as “dynamic wrinkles.” When a doctor inject Botox into a facial muscle, the skin smooths days after treatment and the results can last for several months before patients return for touch-up injections. Botox is safe, effective, and great for many patients dealing with aging skin.
Is Botox safe?
When Botox is administered by a trained and experienced professional, it is completely safe and provides the desired results. During an initial consultation appointment at The Stern Center for Aesthetic Surgery, our team will evaluate patients to determine if they are appropriate candidates for this or other aesthetic services available at our state-of-the-art facility.
